The challenge

Rental, AV, and field-service businesses run on a patchwork — a CRM in one place, a spreadsheet for kit, a messaging thread for crew, a separate tool for invoices. The data all exists, but no one can see a whole job at once.

So equipment gets double-booked, quotes go stale, crew are called for work that has moved, and margin leaks quietly between the seams. The problem is rarely a lack of information — it is that the information lives in places that never talk to each other.

What we built

One operational platform that runs a job from first enquiry to final invoice.

A Kanban-first pipeline shows commercial value at a glance. Bulk and serialised equipment is tracked with conflict-checked availability, QR passports, and stock-takes. Crew scheduling covers competence, availability, and vacancies. Warehouse transfers and pick / ship / return logistics move kit between sites. A service-call workflow handles maintenance and faults, and customer and crew self-service portals let the people outside the office see and do their part — all tied together with universal notes and role-filtered reporting.

The connection

Muster's job is to put the right slice of the same live data in front of each person, without anyone re-keying it.

A salesperson sees pipeline value and overdue quotes; a warehouse lead sees what is picked and what is short; a freelancer sees only their own calls and calendar. Notifications and integrations push changes out to the tools people already use, so the system reflects the business as it actually operates rather than asking the business to work around the system.

Outcome

Muster runs real rental and field-service operations day to day, replacing several disconnected legacy systems with one source of truth.

Because the platform is built to be configured rather than rebuilt, it also underpins bespoke deployments tailored to a specific operation — Curtain Call, a theatre front-of-house build, is one of them.
